few activities that may fun your day during pandemic

Hello again, oops, this is already 2 years since the last post about one movies called NKCTHI or Nanti Kita Cerita Tentang Hari Ini (read here) that I reviewed. Apparently the pandemic hits and been almost 1,5 years while our activity limited by this disease. I am sad to hear about the pandemic news lately because this months, it even terrifying than before. I hope we are all can survive in this so random era.

Don’t too much sink to the sad condition, let’s a bit move on to the other sides. Maybe you, right now have to do some online school or Working From Home (WFH) with a lot of Zoom schedules and it makes you break out for a while because your only friend is laptop. Yeah, it sounds a little bit frustrating adding the pandemic that still going hot. But no need to worry, I know and I believe that you are not alone, you have friends. So, to kill your boredom or relieve your mind, maybe I can recommend some fun activities that I did recently to keep my sane. Let’s check it out!


1. Say No to Work/Study in Zoom, but Yes for Playing with Your Friends

Since the beginning of the pandemic, some companies did Work From Home and one of the tools used was Zoom. Sounds familiar, right?

You might be stress or anxious when heard Zoom like you heard Lord Volde— name, oops! But worry no more, if you have friends with the same stress and anxious with Zoom because of you just using it for meeting with your boss, now you can switch Zoom job description becomes a place to have fun.

Just playing many games with your friends with Zoom, but not in Zoom lol. There are plenty of games and my recommendations are Covidopoly (Monopoly + Uno combined), Skribbl, and Gartic Phone. You can play it with minimum 2 person but greater than that is more fun.

2. Stress Relieve, Work Mate, and More with Discord

Do WFH feels lonely for you? If your answer is yes I do, you can get rid of it with Discord (p.s. it still need your friends). WhatsApp or Telegram or any other work communication tools make you tiring, right? Using Discord might be your alternative solution to get rid of your work a little bit.

Just make a server with your friends, adding some text or voice channels, voila! You advancing your chit chat media with your friends. It also make you not feeling alone anymore. With voice channel, you can voice call with your friends and singing together with Groovy bot.

There are plenty of advantages that you can have when using Discord, let’s explore it.

3. Home Workout to Keep Your Body Healthy

If you are having much time after work and confuse what to do besides to think about Covid case number in our country, you can try to move your body with Home Workout.

Of course, you can find the source to do Home Workout anywhere. The easiest way are YouTube and Home Workout application from your Playstore/Appstore. This activity surely can release your stress with the benefit to make your body healthier (with notes, your moves are right).

My friend once said after she did some workouts, she feels fresher than ever and you should feel it too.

4. Doing and Adding Some Hobbies Doesn’t Hurt You

If you still have more time and want to add some activities just to keep you sane, doing some hobbies or adding the new one doesn’t hurt you of course.

Watching some Korean dramas, singing along, scrolling TikTok FYP, running, knit some scarfs, et cetera, just do it. Adding the new one like join some seminar, English speaking club, or else can help you kill your boring time too.

5. Upgrade Your Self? Why Not?

Yes, you can upgrade your self skill and knowledge with your time mostly in home. In this 4.0 era where everything needs digital skill and knowledge, you may want to invest your time and money to fulfill that.

Several sites that I go or look to upgrade skills are Udacity, Google Analytics Academy, Udemy, or joining programs facilitated by the platforms (you can find it in Instagram like Revou, Skill Academy, etc).

When the pandemic is over, you can be happy that your skill and knowledge be wider than before. But if you don’t want to do it, just don’t do it or force yourself (but maybe sometimes you might force yourself LOL!).


Surely, there are other things that you can do for fun right now, but with the lists that I already write above, I hope it can helps you a little bit. Mostly for you that already overthink and confuse just to think about what to do to keep you sane (wink).
